Droylsden lost by the odd goal in seven in a game that could have gone either way, or even ended in a 7-7 draw!  However, Dave Pace will be disappointed with his side twice having held the lead.

F. A. Trophy – Preliminary Round

Droylsden have been dumped out of the FA’s most prestigious non-league competition at the first hurdle this season, but did so on this occasion after an impressive second half almost rescued their fate.  However, despite coming back from two behind, The Bloods suffered a sucker punch with a minute left, from which they could not recover.

There was a real chill in the air as the Bloods returned to the Butchers Arms on Tuesday night looking to put their season back on track. Particularly after a dismal 4:2 defeat away at Mossley a few days earlier. I made the trip to that game as well, so the less said about it the better. They almost got a complete reversal of that scoreline though tonight, running out 4:1 winners against a spirited Kendal Town.
