The Bloods shared the points in their opening home game of the season but after the win at Lancaster at the weekend Droylsden will see this as two points dropped.

Manager Dave Pace made one change from Saturday's line up, new signing Steve Lewis replacing Dan Parkinson.

The Bloods started well, Lewis having a couple of early chances, denied for the second by a great save from Brocklehurst in the visitors goal.

However the home side fell behind on the quarter hour mark, poor marking from a corner allowing Lloyd Dean a free header.

The Bloods upped their game after falling behind, having the majority of the possession and were rewarded after thirty six minutes when Steve Lewis turned in a cross after a scramble in the penalty area.

Four minutes later Droylsden were in front, Aaron Walters tapping in at the far post from a Luke Daly corner.

Droylsden started the second half well, and Steve Lewis should have made it three after some great work down the left by Luke Daly and Aaron Walters left the striker with a clear strike on goal only to shoot over the bar.

The visitors began to take control of the game with the Bloods losing much of the midfield battle and were punished with a quarter of an hour remaining when Lloyd Dean got his second of the game, firing home after a deflected shot had left the Bloods keeper wrong footed.

Prescott could have sealed the victory in the last ten minutes, but two fine saves from Coates denied Dean and substitute Marie.
