Droylsden FC News
Mr Alan Slater
Our longstanding match secretary Mr Alan Slater has regrettably had to relinquish his position due to family circumstances, Alan believes he would not be able to give his position at the club the necessary time or commitment and feels now is the time for change.
Alan has been with us for many years and we will miss his input, expertise and knowledge of everything football, he has been without doubt a mainstay of this club, everyone here wishes him well and although his decision is to retire as secretary, he has indicated that if and when his circumstances improve he would still like to help out in some other way and is in fact still liaising with the club on league matters Alan will always be welcomed at Droylsden FC.
Alan expresses his regret to leave at a busy time for the club but it cannot be avoided, this however leaves us with the task of finding a replacement as soon as possible as things are moving fast ready for the start of the new season. Anyone who feels they have the experience and/or time to tackle the job as match secretary for Droylsden FC should, in the first instance email Mr Dave Pace at This email address is being protected from spambots. In the interim we ask for your patience whilst we work around the situation.
Good luck for the future Alan and we hope to see you soon

At the end of a difficult and disappointing season, the club would like to thank all the 'hard core' supporters, who stand by the club through good times and bad, for the continued support they have given.
We would also like to thank everyone who contributes to the running of the club, just to name a few and in no particular order: Club sponsors, Garry Owen (match reports) Derek Lloyd (photos), DFC Lee (Twitter), Darren Winters (Multi media Live), Barb and Trev, stewards, gatemen, ballboys, Mark Anderson,Matty and Danny (Kit), Alan Slater, Stella and bar staff, Jay and Rachel, Graham (Groundsman), Noel Corry, Paul and Nigel, Aeon, Gary, Crossey and the players, Bryan Pace, all at the fans forum, in particular for helping out when the web site went offline. Anybody else involved and not mentioned above.
A special thank you must be given to all the supporters club members for all the sterling hard work and fund raising they have put in this year, as always, in what has been a tough season.
A BIG THANKS .
